Basics Flow
This is our Classic Flow with more focus on a beginner's mind and body. The class structure will move a little slower and the poses will get back to the basics of learning alignment and movement. This class is suitable for anyone wanting to step back and look at the basics of the postures and move mindfully and slowly.
Chair Yoga
Seated Hatha Yoga. Perfect for anyone working through limited mobility. Chairs are provided but you may find it not necessary to use them after a while. Great for building strength, balance and gait.
Classic Flow
A hybrid of the Classic Hatha Style, with attention to alignment and detail, and the fluidity and breath consciousness of a Vinyasa Flow (see Vinyasa Yoga below). Both styles combined to connect and move you deeper. See the specific Level for appropriate practices.

Gentle Yoga
A practice for anyone looking to move slowly and find support of mind, body and breath. The postures and gentle movements are designed to open and create ease. The focus is on movement of the joints in response to the breath and stretching of muscles to make the body more physically available. Expect to ease into lengthening and opening of the body. All levels welcome.
Meditation
Our meditation sessions are 30-minutes and designed for the group that attends. More "seasoned" meditators will sit longer. More instruction will be given for those new to meditation and the time spent sitting will be accommodated.. The sessions are focused around Shamatha, mindfulness meditation, and Maitri, loving kindness meditation. Guided meditations and breath meditations are also lead by the instructor.
Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga
Pregnancy causes a woman's body and mind to experience many changes. Connecting into and becoming empowered with those changes is important, and we offer space weekly to foster connection and strength for Lucky Elephant Mamas. Maintaining the physical strength and flexibility of the body will help with childbirth and postpartum recovery. We will build community, explore supportive movement, and help prepare the body to maintain and regain physical stability. We also offer a WhatsApp group for Lucky Elephant Mama to connect outside of class!
Restorative Yoga
A traditional Restorative Pracitce where the body is supported fully with props such as blocks, bolsters, blankets, etc to encourage the relaxation response in the body. Poses are held for 8-10 minutes to help the body completely let go and release stress and tension.
Vinyasa Yoga
"Vinyasa" means "to place in a specific way." In the Vinyasa Practice, poses flow from one to the next to build and ignite the muscular energy of the body within the breath. Sequences build on one another. The class builds to a "big pose."
Yin Yoga
A set of asanas, or postures, that are held for longer periods of time to move out of muscular effort and into connective tissue. It increases circulation in the joints and flexibility. The postures are grounding and help to calm the nervous system and move us into a more balanced state of being. Props are used to help support the body as it opens safely and gradually. The breath is focused so the mind can calm. This practice is powerful and opening for body and mind.
Yin/Yasa Yoga
This class combines the Yin and Yang energies of a yoga class to help balance the practitioner. The class begins with a short series of Yin Yoga Postures (see Yin Yoga above) and then moves into the fluid Vinyasa sequences. It combines the passive and active qualities of the body to work both connective tissure and muscle. All Levels of practitioners welcome.
